Welcome 2011! Let's get back to business.
It’s seems a little odd to me that winter vacations are taken just as winter has started and not when it is in full swing. All around the world, local temperatures trail the solstices and equinoxes by as much as a month so it would make sense to take a vacation now. In any case, I’ve been on a “staycation” since winter officially began, taking time away from Twitter, Stumbleupon, and most other online media to revisit some of my past interests. I can’t recall how long it has been since I read a hardcover book or played a board game, but I think it is important to take a break from the online world once in a while. Of course, I still kept in touch the events around the world through news sites and rss feeds, I couldn’t be completely in the dark, and somehow Facebook was the one networking site I couldn’t stay away from.
Well I’m back online as of last Wednesday. With a queue of videos from Robert Scoble waiting along with some interesting developments in Facebook and Google, you’re going to see a few more updates on webmazing as well as eco-techo.
Wishing you all a wonderful new year, and the strength to keep your resolutions (if you have any).

Addicted to blogging? Possibly. One more started this week.
Oh my goodness, it's been over a months since I've posted here. It's not that I haven't been blogging, oh no, I've just been busy with other blogs and websites. So Ecotecho was a blog that I started with a classmate as part of a course on internet marketing. To be honest it didn't work out as well as I had hoped. I mean the mark we got on it was excellent, but I was aiming a bit higher. In any case, I won't be updated it as often as we were. I will aim for one a week but don't hold your breath.
If you haven't seen it the URL is http://eco-techo.blogspot.com, and there you will find articles and views about being environmentally friendly. :-) Of course I still care about that, I'm just juggling other things at the moment.
One of those things is a blog that I've begun about engaging with the world wide web. It will start as simply a how-to and introduction to the variety of websites, focusing on social media and interacting with people. Then I plan on moving towards creating and maintaining your own presence online, which includes blogging, and eventually making your own website for personal/professional use.
I welcome all comments and suggestions. This proect is not even a week old and I have scheduled posts for roughly one each day. The skeleton is up an running, I'll jazz it up and make it look better as time permits. Drop and say hello any time! http://webmazing.blogspot.com

Eco-Techo: The Story of Electronics (2010)
Millions of products which use precious metals and toxic materials are poorly recycled, if at all, and negatively impact the communities located near the waste. Maybe it's time to design products to be modular, for a longer lifespan, and to proactively offer a product "take back" program.
