So many websites, so little time.

Some time ago I decided that it would be much better to embrace the transition to social media sites burgeoning on the internet than to boycott them thinking I would be safe. The truth is, whether or not you have an account online, there's already some information about you on the world wide web. It's better to take a step and and create your own online presence, and you'll have some rather than no control over what other people see and read about you.

What no one tells you is how many types of websites qualify as social media. While they all serve a particular purpose, not everything is worth pursuing. Don't let your second life (online) take over reality.
